How to clear your browser cache?
Clearing the cache and deleting cookies can fix some problems, such as those related to the loading of websites.
This article explains how to clear your cache on the 4 main browsers: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Safari.
Google Chrome
- Click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner of your browser;
- Click on “Settings”;
- Scroll down to “Privacy and Security”;
- Click on “Clear browsing data”;
- Check the boxes for “Browsing history”, “Cookies and other website data”, and “Images and files on the cache”;
- Make sure the period is set to: “All data”;
- Click on “Clear data”.
Microsoft Edge
- Click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner of your browser;
- Click on “Settings”;
- Scroll down to “Privacy, research and services”;
- Tap “Choose items to clear”;
- Check the boxes for “Browsing history”, “Cookies and other website data”, and “Images and files on the cache”;
- Make sure the time interval is set to: “Any time”;
- Click on “Erase Now”.
Mozilla Firefox
- Click on the 3 horizontal lines in the upper right corner of your browser;
- Click on “Settings”;
- In the “Cookies and Site Data”, click on “Privacy and Security”;
- Select “Clear data”;
- Check all the boxes;
- Click on “Clear”.
Safari
- In the upper left corner of your screen, click on “Safari”;
- Click on “Privacy”;
- Select “Manage website data”;
- Click on “Delete All”;
- In the upper left corner of your screen, click on “Safari”;
- Click on “Preferences”;
- Click on “Advanced”;
- Check the option “Show the develop menu in menu bar”;
- Close the pop-up window;
- In the menu at the top of the screen, you should see “Development”, click on it;
- Click on the “Empty Caches” option.
